Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T):

Portable Appliance Testing is the testing and inspection of electrical appliances / equipment. P.A.T Testing should be generally carried out every 12 months, although some equipment may have longer periods between test and inspection.

A series of tests are made to each appliance to check the appliance's integrity. The procedure includes an assessment of how the appliance is being used in its environmental conditions.

On completion of the tests we can evaluate the appliance's integrity and prove that they are safe to use. A hard wearing log book is issued to the customer on completion of the testing and is laid out in a easy to understand format. Robust appliance identity labels are applied to each appliance which gives them a unique i.d number making them easily tracked.

At InstaLux we pride ourselves on giving complete customer satisfaction during and after the testing process. We know it is important to meet our customers needs and therefore we can provide out of hours testing at no extra charge.

A Fixed wire test involves the testing and inspection of each individual circuit in an electrical installation/system. The reason for this is to determine the safety of the installation and to reduce the chances of electrical shock

A series of tests are carried out to each individual circuit, the submain’s and the equipment used in the installation

We provide a professional , reliable and accurate service to our customers. On completion of our work we provide an easy to understand hardwearing report that is supplied either hardcopy or emailed including NICEIC certification. Our reports and certification are industry recognised and are recommended by leading insurance companies and Health and Safety reps.

For larger installations we offer a yearly percentage testing schedule, If the required test interval is 5 years we can provide a yearly 20% test. This works out very beneficial to our customers as they can take advantage of a full yearly visual inspection, it also helps in reducing the payments.
